CAT handles the reman engine side for navistar. All new engine production for navistar though is built in Huntsville, AL or in Springfield, OH at navistars engine plants.

People get stuck on badges and names too much. A truck is a truck. When you really get down to it they are all the same except for the badges on the front of the truck. I've driven freight liners, Mack's, volvo's they are all the same.

would you say the same about engines? If a truck is more dependable, i believe its better. Some trucks cant do what others can.

Yep id say the same about engines too. The Mack's I drove had a million miles on them and ran like a top. This freightliner I currently drive with the Mercedes in it had 986,0000 on it and runs like a top. I drove a brand new 2013 Volvo with the d13 in it I believe it was and it was a great runner. I drove a glider conversion with a Detroit 60 in it and it was great. So as long as the motors and trucks are well maintained and looked after properly any truck/motor/make can be a great truck. It's all in how it's looked after. IMHO
