CRST has some type of dedicated lane through Atlanta hauling either Caterpillar or John Deere products. For only an 8 month commitment, sounds worth it. After 8 months you can go about anywhere if you don't want to stay there.

After a lot of research, I am leading towards Prime. I havn't looked at CRST but Prime beats Swift in almost every way, you might want to look closely into them. The tractors are pretty small unless you go flatbed or become a trainer after a year but you get .05 cpm extra for just driving those smaller trucks so it evens out and they have a better starting pay after you graduate, you have money available from the first week you get there and the training pay after you receive your CDL and hit the road with the trainer is better as well. And they have about the best reputation of all of the schooling companies. You can also get a larger truck if you are a larger person from what I have read.

In that case, I would go with CRST and ask for flatbed.

The 8 month commitment is OK, because in 8 months you can re-evaluate your situation and decide if you want to remain there or move on. You will have some good OTR experience & many companies will hire you, if you decide to move on.

Swift will reimburse you for the total cost of the course over the period of 26 consecutive months of employment with Swift. Swift Academies offer the following: so actually thats 2 yrs n 2 months it say it on there website 2 year commitment
