Ok Consider This For 1 Year You Are Paid .50 Cpm .40 Of That Is Yours .10 Is Put Into An Acct. Running 4000 Miles A Week Busting Your ### Cause It Is Called Work For A Reason.

Between 15,000 To 20,000 Depending On That Time You Spend At Home. Off Of The .10 Cpm Then At That Time You Are Able To Put Down Payment On Truck Also Save And During That Year Off Of The .40 Cpm Put .05 Cpm Into An Acct For Maintince And Taxes To Teach Your Self Saving Pratices As You Will Need To Learn.

Then You Will Be Ahead Of The Hundreds Of Lease Purchesers Out There. Ok At That Time You Can Lease A Truck For Fair Market Value Such As For Example 60,000 Frieghtliner Columbia 2005 300,000 Miles With A Remaining Ballance Of A 500,000 Mile Warenty. At A Payment Of $500.00 A Month For 2 Years

Same Amont Of Miles Being At 4000 By The Last Day Of Lease Last Payment Is Made Truck Is Yours.

Would You Do That. Just A Question I Have For Yall.

Hell no. Personally I wouldn't borrow a penny to buy a truck.

But just to soften my hard line about this issue. If you don't have the money for the down payment, or the credit rating to get a loan from a legitimate bank, you are not ready to run a business.

If you can't get your personal financial affairs in order, you need to develop the skills to do so, before you try to become an O/O, or lease operator, or whatever.

Building a business is like building anything else, you have to have a strong foundation to hold everything together for when the storms hit.

And the storms will hit., anyone who tells you otherwise is full of crap

I love these "plans" with all the figures laid out so nicely.

Here is my plan, You scrimp and save everywhere you can, you drive a 15 year old pickup and your wife drives a 20 year old S-10 Blazer. You eat at home, wear patched clothes, use coupons in the food store, have "hand me down" furniture and tie a knot in your shoelaces when they break.

Then when you have saved up the cash to buy a truck paid in full. And another 15G or so for expenses. Then you are ready to start a business.

Lease, borrow, or whatever, it all sucks

4000 paid miles per week to a solo driver? Being paid .50 cpm? Sounds kinda fishy to me.

Yes some companies pay .50 cpm such as Heartland Express and the Union outfits but unless your training newbies I do not see 4000 pay miles consistently per week.

I think a more realistic and attainable average would be around 3300 miles per week in a good economy (which we do not have at the moment).

I will have to side with Joe on this 1. If you cannot pay for the first truck with cash in hand plus have a 10 to 15 grand reserve in place AND have your personal finances in order at home then your really starting out behind the 8 ball.

Well 777 I Guess Your Like Joe You Didnt Read Clearly To My Post. Not Buying The Truck For A Full Year Untill Cash In Hand. And Not Really Making .50 Cpm Just 40 The Other 10 Is Going Into An Acct. So Please Read It Better Befor You Respond.

    Maniacgator,

Your post is about as clear as mud.

Every first letter of every word is capitalized, 15 to 20 thousand what?, dollars? miles? dimes?

Stuff like this too, "You Didnt Read Clearly To My Post". Is English your first language?

That should have been "You didn't fully read and comprehend my post".

If you want to argue, I'm cool with that, but please write so other people can understand it.
