The Moyes family does own Central Ref ... this just an accounting and management move. The Moyes family makes a return on their investment of Central, by selling it to Swift - cash and/or additional Swift shares.

Also it there will be economies by consolidating management teams, shops, academies and terminals.

Stuck in a hotel in Albany, NY. Dropped off a load at the 90, and on the way to the TA for a shower the Check Engine light came on. Ended up at the dealer, and they're going to fix a half dozen minor warranty repairs that my mentor has been putting off while waiting for the part.

So far, I'm having a blast. Once I get my own truck, though, I won't want to see the northeast for a LONG time! :p

depended on which trailer etc, I was pulling a 48 foot low boy so 2 went in it, the one pulling a 53 had 3, the 2nd load I did I got the young elephants and a couple different bosses had to tell me to be extra carefull since the young ones dont ride as well. I told them just let me drive, im not going to be stupid and get an animal handler killed since the handlers rode in the trailer too.
I ended up getting praise from the big boss since the handlers always complain when they get a driver who was rough and they had 0 complaints for me especially hauling the babies who were a little more active in the trailers.
Its not like I had to stop at every light and stop sign, I slowed smoothly and accelerated smoothly. I got the phone numbers of the DL's who run the tour and they said keep in touch and maybe they can try to pull strings to request me again in the future if im in an area they are moving from. I told them anytime call me up and get me, I enjoyed the experience, how many drivers get the chance to say they hauled elephants and other exotic animals? Not many

Anyway sitting at the flying j in Bakersfield, deliver in the morning then im bobtailing home and doing a 34 to see my wife and kids.

Sitting at a home depot in independents, mo. I got the joy of getting a 6 stop home depot load. Apparently someone in their dedicated fleet couldn't do it. So it was late picking it up so naturally the drops are all late. First one went great and about half way to 2nd stop I heard I distinct noise rolling up to stoplights. I know what it was. I was only 2 miles from the delivery so I got there and they told me which dock and got it docked and looked sure enough my drivers side rear outer dual has a bolt in it and leaking. Great so macro 55 and was very detailed about it and wrote tire is loosing air and 10 mins later on road calls and ask if I could drive to service. They got a big fat NO and then they asked if it was leaking... really I asked lol. Apparently breakdown didn't read the comments box. So anyways took 2 hours to get the tire fixed and I got my 3rd stop done and doing my break and get the rest knocked out before noon hopefully

    scottied67 Thanks this.
