had a nice OS booked today. right where i was at. but when the rate confirmation came in. it was HALF the posted rate on the board. tonight, it's posted again for the rate that i booked it at to begin with. AHOLE

now i'm stuck with a load i really didn't want to do. and had to bounce to get it. going to a state i really don't wanna go to. becuase the agent looked like crap when she told her customer there were no trucks available. so i agree, in the opposite direction of where i wanted to go. for half the rate of the OS per mile. going 3 times the distance.

guess i'll never get over to the east coast. i can't seem to break free from the western barrier. but at least i got bounce money.

I knew when I called 1Bad and told him about Central it would get him back in here. Been calling him this past week talking about my moving plans.
So this is what they are.........
Saturday pick up rental truck and load. (hopefully finish before I die)
Sunday-Monday. Drive to Tampa.... If I did not die or fail to get truck loaded Saturday.
Have truck till Friday morning, which is good, not looking like we have any help in Tampa to unload the darn thing. Might end up at Home Depot.....

Taking a week vacation from Heartland for the move, but can come back late if needed. I really cannot afford to take off very long so planning on a week.
My terminal manager from Columbus made some calls. I heard this afternoon he has me set up to run dedicated Tampa to Atlanta. Have not had the chance to really talk to anyone about it though. So not sure what my pay will be. I am sure I have to loose at least 3 cpm. Which would suck, but if that is all I loose I will still be at .40 cpm. And that is a good mileage run. If I can get drop and hooks like we do in the north.

Renting a house from my Father in South Tampa at a discount rate for as long as I need it.
Have not figured out the truck parking deal yet. I would love to find out we have a dropyard nearby, but that would probably be asking too much. So have to wait and see on that.
Will try and get on here more often. Just been busy with other things.

Sat on I-40 W TN yesterday for 5hrs while they cleaned up a truck wreck Werner rear ended a Tanker which resulted in a huge fire, They thought the fire was out so let some traffic go and the fire started again. A lot of the E-LOGGERS were parked on the side of the Interstate.

since we will be running the same lane i75 we need to start meeting up in Jackson ga for breakfast a day or two a week.

can't wait till i get this load off. it's KILLING my fuel economy. wished i woulda known i was gonna get roped into it. woulda picked it up tuesday for offload friday. instead of sitting on it for the weekend. got 4 whole days for the remaining 1175 miles. 550 of which will be 55 LOUSY mph.

 

Anybody else want to hunt down the wandering wifi bozos and hurt them like me??? My 4th or 5th peelot, with crappy service!!! AAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHH!!!!
