I have two like that. They're Wilson's.

 

I have never seen one there and do not list it on there website. Do you have a link to it?

Some moron called me today with a load 156" high today wanting to put it on a stepdeck from Minneapolis to Houston !! I told him that's an RGN/DD load. He said he couldn't find one. Christ, first off if he puts the right rate on it he'll find an RGN, and if he can't afford them how the heck is he going to afford me to haul it 16' - 6" high if that is even possible ? Furthermore, if he finds some other moron to take the load, how is that going to work out for him ???

 

Check with the manufacture to see what the ride height is supposed to be set at, it is usually marked on a tag on one of the axles. Setting a trailer to ride lower that it is designed can lead to trouble. My last step deck rode a little high, so I had the bright idea of setting it a little lower. Every time I went thru any type of dip, speed bump, etc the rear air bags did not have enough volume of air and would create a vacuum when the axle pulled away from the trailer, the bags would get pinched between the stops. I would then have to grab a wrench and pull the adjuster loose to manually add air to get them to pop back out. I set the trailer back to its intended height and never had any trouble again.

At 16'6" you would need a pole car, and I don't know at what height you would need to have a route survey done. All he would need to do is call down to Rochester and we would be happy to get it moved for him. What was he wanting to pay you per mile, or do I even want to know?

 

Yep, that is the one. Six or seven of us have bought them from there.

 

Anything is possible as long as someone has deep enough pockets.
