I am currently looking for a new trucking carrier because the company I was driving for outsourced their entire fleet to a company I am not interested in driving for, so in the process I have obtained a copy of my DAC report and MVR records to check all my records. I also asked The company I previously drove with for my record and they have 3 accidents, 2 were my fault and preventable (one for a bent dolly leg while driving a yard dog and the other for dropping a trailer while pulling away... the Kingpin wasn't connected and did damage the dolly legs) the 3rd accident was non preventable and no fault because a guy hit my truck while I was stopped. None of the accidents involved any police and were all handled within the company I was driving for. when I pulled my DAC and MVR from Hireright (which was current with last update in april and last background done then as well) nothing appears on the report but I am wondering if these incidents have any potential to show up on my PSP report or if there is anywhere else they could possibly pop up and prevent me from getting hired. I am also wondering what my potential outlook for driving is since I have 4 years experience 3 OTR 1 local and all the accidents were within a 4 month period about a year and half ago (I was going though a rough time then and a lot on my plate) just any advice would be really helpful at this point

They will only show up on the PSP if they are DOT reportable. And they should only show up on the MVR if a police officer was called to the scene and filled out an accident report.

The best way to know what will show on your PSP is requesting one. Got to here http://www.psp.fmcsa.dot.gov/Pages/default.aspx It will cost you $ 10.00 (they use credit card)

This is how a PSP looks like. It shows records from the last 3 yrs.

When your filling out and app. Do you have to put down accidents that are on your dac and mvr or just mvr?

I guess what was DAC is now "HireRight"? I was looking around their website and see that they have a dispute process like DAC did. Has anyone gone through this process and how was it? I don't have any accidents, but I do have an office worker who seems to desperately want to retaliate against me if I leave my current employer.

I am going to give my 2 weeks notice and want to have a heads up on what to look for. I remember DAC had everything categorized in their own terms and wonder if there is a list of that anywhere. When I turn in my truck, it will be cleaner than when I got it so I want to document everything in case this person tries to make false entries. Thanks

    What does DAC stand for?
    Drive-A-Check
For the professional CDL driver, the DAC report can be equally as important to your career and financial future as your personal consumer credit report.

    Pap only shows roadside inspections

Mvr only shows traffic citations. moveable offenses
Dac is what companies put on there.

No cops were involved so no citations or roadside inspections to worry about.

There are tons more companies that don't use dac then do use dac. Stay away from dac companies and you won't care about dac.
