They have them out there. I remember seeing one on the internet (forgot which site) that had a monitor and 4 cameras for $2200

What you see on the video is called impeding traffic and it is against the law. You can also call it criminal neglagence and if somebody died I'm sure that would of came into play.

I'm no cop but that's what I see.

I think that what is seen on the dashcam off the OP is a sad reflection off our Western civilisation.
    People have zero patience left.
And let's be honest , what was seen here is something we seen everyday,be it cars ,bikes and even trucks.
It all boils down to poor attitude and very little respect for others.

Wheter or not he saw he bikes coming before he started to overtake the other truck doesn't matter.
As long as he did a correct lanechange.
Just because other vehicles drive faster doesn't give them extra rights on the road.

As for the bike doing the "braketest" in front off the OP,as soon as he did that he was and is 100% at fault.
Had any accident followed from that, there isn't a jury that would have convicted the trucker.

Just a warning to those who travel abroad, most countries do have laws forbitting passing on the right.
In fact,in those countries it is seen as one off the most severe volations you can do.
So be carefull when driving abroad.:biggrin_25525:

Possibly excepting the ones that drive on the left :)

You want to see suicidal motorbike riders, just visit São Paulo. Word on the street was 1-2 riders a day getting kilt in traffic.

these videos are habit-forming, not in a morbid way but because they show many instructive tips to drivers of all vehicles, and one of the greatest things for me is they demonstrate how easy it is to be safe if you are operating a rig, some of these drivers are heroic the way they handle their trucks around the other people on the road who are bouncing around the road like litter being blown around, incapable of staying in their own lane or making sound judgments unless there is an officer of the law riding their rear

CaptainX3, thank you for posting this vid and the advice to get a dash cam, this is for sure essential gear for many reasons

as a wannabe, i am considering many aspects before attending cdl school and committing to this career, the vids made me think about one of my concerns regarding a scam people perpetrate on the road, have heard variations of this: criminal minds put a fake baby in a baby chair and put it in the middle of a deserted road or there will be someone "down" made to look like she is in distress, some graphic staged human scene that makes everyone automatically stop and instinctively get out and help, even though there is no tragedy there, it is only a lure to get you to stop and get out of your vehicle

the criminal minds take advantage of most people's sense of humanity, they wave you down, when you jump out of your car/rig to offer to help, they jump you

it doesn't make sense that a truck driver would be assaulted because what are they going to do with the truck? well, maybe they just need a couple bucks at that moment and they only want the $40 in your pocket, so they work you over anyway for that cash or worse just for the 'fun' of it, we don't need to discuss the "whys" of criminal behavior because we know sometimes there is absolutely no "reason" and it is the way many perpetrators live and think 24/7, but if a truck driver stops and gets out and suddenly the scene changes to a brawl, no one else driving by will stop to help the truck driver at that point

what do professional truck drivers do when people are calling for help outside the rig on the open road? the rigs dominate the roads, is it expected they stop? are there typical truck company rules about this? does this sound like urban legend and have you ever heard of this stuff? i am the type to pull over when people are in need and i can see myself getting in some trouble

    thanks for your thoughts

They took off that video, but I think I found it uploaded by someone else. If its the one with the yellow bike getting tagged hard by the car, I think the jerkoff got what he deserved.

i would have driven up to where the guy and his bike ended up, ripped off his helmet and beat him with it.

I boldfaced one of my pet peeves regarding LEO's. They are the worst offenders for tail gaiting while multitiasking
