Seat Belts

I never wear a seat belt! I'm over 18 and my choice not some bureaucrats in washington. Who only wants you to live so you can keep paying taxes. So they can borrow more money.

 

Id like to see PC Freak load take his W9, even with an empty trailer and have a 60 MPH head on with an identical truck and watch him calmly undo his seatbelt and walk away...NOT GONNA HAPPEN. I was ejected 90' from a truck once, coming out the roof after it was sheared off in a 3x over barrel roll. Everything from the windows up was gone, including the seat back broke in half and headache rack folded completely over. I survived it with major bruising and a split rotator cuff. Maybe I should been wearing my seatbelt so I could be dead and then I wouldnt have to participate in these great debates....

 

I think seatbelts save more than they harm. personal experience. I do think we should be allowed to choose whether we wear them or not though (with the exception of children and a parents responsibility to have them buckled).

 

If something happens and I have one last good chance to control the truck, I prefer to be behind the wheel instead of on the floor, but that's just me. You survive your triple barrel roll, but if you had a chance to prevent it and weren't in the seat holding on to the steering wheel and feet on petals because you got knocked off, well...better you than me,son.

 

Yea...because the cause of the triple barrel roll was getting flopped over on my side in the first place n then off the bank. I sure wish I was in the seat so I would then have full control over a truck sliding on its side. Do you think I jumped over to the passenger floorboard before it went over??

 

I do when I cross the scale pads.
Other times if I forget to undo it after the scale.

 

You are "over 18" so you must have achieved all the learnin' possible in a lifetime. Please tell us older folks,

Why do "they" have to borrow money if you are giving them so much in taxes?
