I am a newbie who is hiring on with Gardner Trucking flatbed division in Washington State. Just was wondering if there was anyone on here that has driven for them or is driving for them. I have very little stick time and am thrilled they are giving me a chance so i can get some experience and move on to bigger and better things. I want to get into the heavy haul game at some point. Not to mention i have never had a job with paid holidays or paid vacation and i have been workin union for 14 + years.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Watch your paycheck because every one will be shorted
i just quit them -
I've only talked to one of their drivers that was really happy. He was on a local-dedicated gig in the Bay Area. I've talked to several that hated it.

there is a thread out there about gardner. look it up. i've called them a while ago and can't remember exactly, but they've offered me some silly money and their recruiter sounded like she was about to quit herself. they pay something in mid 30 cpm and tell you how much you can idle your truck and all that stuff. funny people

I have looked into them and wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole. You realize they only pay that silly low pay for loaded miles only right?
