you mean that stevens does not provide the air ride leather seats to the inside people? you should probably bring that to the attention of the upper floor corner office i think.

Entertaining update, no useful information to be had here!

Shocking news alert... I. Cannot. Back.

That being said, I did NOT hit any of the following items: curbs, barrels, fences, buildings, trailers, tractors, instructors, students or trees. So, there's that. However. My parallel looks like something from Auntie Annie's Pretzels, and my straight line -sigh- is more like a loosely interpreted check mark.

Map reading 101 was today, and I am pleased to announce that my group was the least wrong out of the six groups! Six groups, 6 each, 36 total... we are dwindling! I heard Monday's class is 60. Cheers!!!

    Just keep at it!
If you want real entertainment (and some backhanded encouragement) ask the old timers here about some of their experiences in their first year!
we all began in the same place...well I hear there were a couple super truckers that were born with a shifter in one hand and a steering wheel in the other...but the rest of us had to practice, practice, practice!

Go to the produce places in LA, after that you'll be well on your way to being a backing pro

Like Emul said, keep practicing! When you are on your trainers truck, tell him/her that you want to back up every time the truck needs to go into reverse.

Neither of my two trainers would let me back. They were always in a hurry. Sure enough I failed the backing test at the yard but passed the next day. I was very nervous when I got out on my own about backing but once I got away from the pressure I was fine.

I feel that I have gotten pretty good at it now. I have had 2 or 3 times that I couldnt back into a spot but luckily they were parking spots and I had the option of moving on. With my job now, I rarely back up but I will do so as often as possible so I dont lose the skill.

Just wait until you go to Kraft in Bethlehem, PA at night! No lights so it nice and dark, doors are tight and no room to swing the nose of the truck.

Just turn off the CB, take your time and GOAL. It will come in time.

I back ugly... I get it in the hole, I don't hit anythimg, and I can explain to you exactly how to do it... but you do not want to emulate me.because I back ugly.

As a tip though Flue, if you are getting confused, put your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel and just turning in the direction you want the trailer to go. This will automatically send the top in the opposite direction which is what confuses most people starting out.

    flue and Roknric Thank this.
