New Owner, Make sure you have 15,000.00 in a bank. Being an Owner Operator is not cheap. I'm not talking about loan value, separate. Tires blow out, ect. Just to be safe.

in a perfect world you would have 15 grand set aside after set up costs, but let's be real. as a first time buyer you are gambling you don't throw a rod in the first 2 months. a couple grand to cover a cut tire and other minor type repairs should do you fine. also as long as you are buying from a reputable dealer the truck will have a limited warranty covering catastrophic stuff( throwing a rod through the block,a rearend exploding, tranny coming apart, etc). I would make putting aside enough money to replace the engine if needed a big priority once you get going tho. also have the carrier you will be leading into lined up with an intent to lease letter in your hand before buying the truck.
