I don't have trouble logging on here.Could be your computer attracted a virus.Could be you need to free up some of your memory space. In other words delete unwanted files.Try defragging.

nah.i have 86% free space as i don't download simply to avoid a virus.i am running F-Secure which is a powerful anti-virus thingy.i defrag and clear out quite often, even when it says it is not necessary.I am computer illiterate though pattyj hence my apprehension to download as i have encountered a virus or three over the years.

I certainly appreciate your input however.this site is the only one that slows things down and it is really slow today.i'll run the f secure program again just in case.thanks again and enjoy your day-

Many vBulliten sites have issues on occasion where they become slow for the users to almost not-functional at times. A server reboot typically fixes it for the time being. TTR though I haven't seen this issue so much as with a few other vBulliten sites I frequent. You may also try "Marking All Forums As Read" at the bottom of the home bulletin board menu that will help the site respond a bit faster for a while.

Are you sure it's TTR forum and not a wifi adapter issue? I have a new custom laptop with a Realtek bluetooth/wifi combo adapter and the wifi speed drops considerably after the laptop awakes from suspend/sleep. Put on the newest driver but no help. Have to turn off and turn back on the wifi or reboot to get my speed back. But if all other sites run good then this should not be an issue.

you know.come to think of it,i am using an HP Pavilion from 2005.surely being an older laptop wouldn't contribute to the slow running.

yes perhaps one day i will step on into the 21st century and purchase a newer/faster pc.
