I spent most of last summer having a lot of little stuff done, fixed, upgraded, I was in that shop just about every other week for 5 months.

when I was in Nashville the dealer said I needed my 5th wheel rebuilt 5 hr labor plus parts, Laredo did it for 2.5 hr labor plus parts and they give me the company discount on parts so they saved me about $400 on the same repair

when I knew my turbo was going to go I got a load to Laredo to have it done but the DAM TURBO blew up 300 miles to soon I would have saved $900 if I had made it to Laredo. I had called and they had every thing INSTOCK to do it in 1 day Waco took 3 days because they had to order 1 stupid clamp.... really why do you stock a turbo for a d12 and not stock the ALL the clamps to install 1.....

I have the manager's personal cell #, the last time I was in (he knew I was coming) he had 3 real Cuban cigars waiting for me.... ;)

So, TEC did a great job on what I thought was the transmission issue. SOmething to do with an oil bypass filter that was screwing up the oil pressure. The pressure would spike down cutting off the engine. Fixed right a quickly. They also fixed the TWO air leaks. They did it all for less than we expected and they communicated with me the whole time. That was the part that surprised me. Customer service at truck dealers has been completely non-existent until now. Then running across Montana on Friday evening, something, a rock or a bird, hit the screen behind the grill hard enough to puncture the a/c condenser. smh....We are NOT going to South Carolina in August without A/C. Going through Sioux City Iowa Saturday morning I found a Volvo dealer open and bought a new condenser for ONLY $600 with tax. The stupid thing looks like it is actually worth $50. Took it to Sapp Brothers in Percival and they got us right in. We took showers and had lunch and they were done when we came out. Labor and a/c recharge another $250. But baby does the a/c blow freaking cold now. Thank heavens I do this for the love of it, not the money. lol

did you replace the bug screen....? if not get it changed asap if it has a hole, rip or isn't held TIGHT to the grill the wind will push it back into the new condenser and you will be doing the repair all over again.... I know I found out the hard way when TA didn't change my bug screen and 35 days later my new condenser had a hole in it

This looks more like it needs to be split and put in the Volvo forum not the carrier forum......just saying....

We will be replacing the screen. It has torn lose on the bottom right. The mechanic used a zip tie to pull it back out to the grill so safe for now

Sitting at a loading dock in Birmingham Alabama and the air dryer just failed. I cannot move from the dock because the air tanks are not filling. All I need to do is bypass the dryer but I do not have the fittings. Found a mobile service company and we should get rolling for about $200. We will see. The good/bad news is the load is not ready so I may recoup the repair bill with detention pay.
