A wonderful opportunity presented itself for me with this small company based out of Illinois!!! This company flew me out about 2 weeks ago and I have been trucking ever since. I went from teaming at .20 cpm to now being solo at .37 cpm and the miles are wonderful. My first week in which I started on July 31st, I ran 2039.5 miles with 2 trips (Alsip, IL-Cambridge, MD and Baltimore, MD-Sibley, IA). Last week I ran 3172 miles with 3 trips (Sioux City, IA-Billings, MT and Williston, ND-Ames, IA and Allison, IA-Albuquerque, NM).
Now although last week was a good week mileage wise, I did have 2 big issues that did NOT hinder my mileage for the week. It was raining and I got stuck in the mud in North Dakota by the fields as I was picking up a load of Lentil and the next day I had a blowout on my trailer. I got myself unstuck in North Dakota and the company handled my blowout very quickly without hesitation. I love the feel of being with a small company and thus far I am being spoiled. I will update this thread as often as possible and thanks to all that have given me encouragement as I've entered this industry.

All I can say is all things work together for the good of them that love God and are called according to his purpose. Bruh just think of where you been and been thru to get to where you are now. It's awesome and I'm truly happy for you. I'm glad that recruiter at western never called you back.

I'm happy to see you ended up landing the job. Do they run to your neck of the woods much so you can get home?

I have had a few issues with the truck which has affected my miles but that comes with the territory. AC electrical issue, splitter electrical issue, left side headlight electrical issue, 3 trailer tire replacements, and radio electrical issue (lol I need my music). I am coming off of a 4.5 day hometime and I enjoyed my time with my family. My oldest daughter just started kindergarten so I got to send her off to school twice while on hometime. Other than the normal things to do at home, I got some much needed time away from the truck to gather my sanity lol. Right now I am on a load that will get me by the terminal on Monday so that my truck can get maintenance. Til later guys!!! -
That's what's up man. I'm at the house right now myself. Lol. Second time in six months. Lol.
amiller Thanks this. -
Total miles were down for this week due to me being on hometime but still a decent check.
September 2-September 9(1581 total miles)
700 miles(Hickory, NC-Copiague, NY)
881 miles(Hauppauge, NY-Addison, IL)
