There's the catch.
I doubt you'll get a load with an extra 2 days, going by home, as soon as you go solo.
Someone is pulling your chain.
Figure on being out a few weeks before you get a home time.
And even then, try to make sure it is a drop at that end so you can bobtail home - or have a terminal near enough to drop off your mt. -
All the responses are appreciated. Thanks everyone. I'll look into several of the ideas presented. As one asked, I am on the south side, just south of M-6 and adjacent to US-131. There are some nice sized lots around here, even eliminated one immediately. The manager there, shot me down and shot me a look of judgment. They are gearing up to build a nice new Walmart just to the north of me, right next to a Home Depot. There is a medium sized truck stop near too, but they have signage up saying not to drop trailer there. Plus there's the issue of sabotage, when stuff isn't attended.
As another said, if company policy forbids me while under load; then that's one more can of worms. But if I'm to be out weeks at a time before getting home, then maybe I don't have anything to solve.
Another thing I don't know, is if the company has any contracts with anyone up here for just this issue or not. I know, the green on these horn buds is really shinning through right now.

Some carriers do contract with various property owners in select markets to "host" a trailer drop facility. But they're not so much for the driver's benefit as they are for the carrier's logistical needs benefit. But if you can find such a facility, chances are they rent space to individual drivers, too which will include an access code and a rent drop box.

I wonder if any of the following are contracted out with Roehl in someway? In my immediate vicinity are the following terminals: Sunset Logistics, Super Service, UPS, MTS, and a NTB drop yard.

why not park both the truck and trailer at the truck stop and have your wife/girlfriend family member or cab or whatever pick you up and give you a ride to your house.

That's not a horrible idea. Just a concern with security around that stop and leaving something out of eyesight for long periods. It might be my fall back option.
