It's all good. I woke this morning to the local program manager knocking on my sleeper. Wanted to know if I was loading the big box to Jacksonville. I told him I didn't know anything about it so he told me that if I was he would have the rigging crew unload and reload me. A phone call later and yes I'm loading the box that's exactly the same size as the one I have on to take to Jacksonville. Well the riggers bring the box outside and I can see from across the lot that it's over height sitting on the ground and substantially wider. I grab my trusty measuring device and it's 14' 6" high on the ground which makes it 16' 3" on my double drop and 16' 1" wide to boot.

To make a long story short, they build aeroplanes but they can't use a tape measure. The box is loaded but it's going to take 10 to 14 days to get a route survey and permit. I left the trailer there, bobtailed to Charleston to get a stretch flat then tomorrow morning I'm loading a 15' 11" wide x 70' long in Savannah to take to Tulsa where I'll get the wing trailer and bring a 19' 6" x 60' long back to Savannah then maybe we'll be close to having permits on the Miami box and I'll go back after it.

 

I put a radiator in the boss's truck today. I'd like to tell you how many bolts hold the tanks to the core but I cant count that high. Fired it up and there were no leaks so all is good.

I'm loading glass for blasting in the twin cities tomorrow late morning headed to somewhere in SD on the Missouri river for a dam restoration project. Hoping to get it unloaded tomorrow night so I can bounce home to get a load of grain equipment headed for northern MN Wednesday.

 

Is it just me or does shc's truck stick out like a sore thumb now the big question should I find a lot lizard to jump in his truck while he's sleeping???? Hmmm decisions decisions
