Hi. I just got one of these violations in Georgia but I have a New York CDL. Would it still go against my MVR even though it is out of state?

how was the ticket written ? was if failure to obey a traffic signal or device ? or was if failure to stop at a weigh station ? I would never just pay the ticket no matter what it was for anymore. I would at least call the courthouse and talk to the judge or prosecutor and see if I could get them to drop it or change it .

Failure to obey is not one you really want on the books

Yes Sir. It's for failure to obey a traffic signal!

P.S. If I hire a lawyer in Georgia, would I still need to be present in the court down there?

Can anyone refer a Trucker Attorney for Franklin County Georgia? Court Date is Sept 19th. Interstate Trucker wants $595.00 to represent me for two tickets, which seems a little steep of a price.

    Try www.tixnix.com.

You fill out an online form about what happened and an attorney rom that area will call for a free consultation and quote a price if you decide to retain them.

If you hire an attorney you do not need to be present in court. Your attorney represents you in your absence.

I also was ticketed for not possessing a driver's logbook. Heard the fine is $500.00 for this one. Can anyone confirm these fines are so steep?

I would consult with a local attorney in the county where the ticket was received.
