Depends on what you're looking for. Two or more bedrooms are in high demand, one bedrooms a little less but still in demand.
-
What about rv spaces, are many people showing up and living out of 5th wheels and campers? And about how muck is a 1 bedroom renting for,and about how much is an rv pad?

Thanks for the good info Ben Gunn. With your explanation, its understandable, each person has a unique take on things and their own set of needs. Because you have worked both, I really appreciate your perspective. Another trucker I know personally, has said the same, "it's easier to get hired in the Permian area than in south Texas. He has years of experience and found south Texas to be about knowing someone. His opinion. Thanks again.

That wasn't really my experience. I found that there were more companies requiring 2-3 years experience and fewer that would take on green horns. If you have a year or more experience you will find work in the Eagle Ford. Some people on this site were hired with no experience, so it can be done. I transferred to George West with my last company and didn't like the yard so I applied with 3 companies, a sand hauler, a condensate hauler, and a vacuum truck company. I received job offers from all three but decided to come back to Midland. I applied with 3 crude haulers but they were looking for 3 years experience.

WHAT ?? WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ??? AND WHOS TALKING ABOUT SOMEOME OFFERING ME A REFRESHER. AFTER 6MONTHS OF NOT GETTING A JOB COMPANIES INSURANCE POLICIES DONT ALLOW YOU TO GET ONBOARD. HEY THERE IS A MISCOMUNICATION HERE. DONT YOU EVEN TALK TO ME LIKE THAT. THE REASON WHY I COME TO PEOPLE HERE 4 ADVISED DOESNT MEAN THATS IS GOING TO GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO BE DISRESPECTFUL. YOU MUST HANG UP YOUR CAPABILITIES OF REFFERING TO PEOPLE LIKE THAT. EVEYBODY IN THE FORUM IS GOING TO LOOK AT YOU AS A PERSON WITH THE CHILDISH ATTITUDE. WE ALL HAVE THE COMMITMENT HERE TO SHARE AND HELP EACH OTHER ON a RESPECTFULL WAY NOT TO KICK OTHERS BAD LUCK. IF BEN GUN DONT WANT TO ANSWER I WOULD WALK AWAY OR ASK 4 HELP SOMEWHER ELSE BUT I DONT ALLOW PEOPLE STEP ON AND TALK TO ME LIKE THAT. IF YOU WANNA HELP YOU ARE VERY WELCOME IF YOU DONT HAVE AN ANSWER SOMEONE WOULD HAVE IT.

it doesnt matter if you have had a CDL since 2007, you said yourself you never used it....so unless you HAVE RECENT experience, you are gonna be hard pressed to find a driving job, without a refresher course...thats just the way it isPackRatTDI, truckon, TLeaHeart and 1 other person Thank this.

Try Key Energy or Nabors Completion & Production. Some of their yards in the Permian will take people with nothing more than a CDL learner permit, train them and let them use a company truck for the CDL test. Since you already have a CDL you're ahead of the game. You can apply online with both companies and a recruiter will contact you if they're interested.HeWhoMustNotBeNamed and greywolfe Thank this.
