air system problems

    2006 freghtliner air compressor seem to run constantly air will build to 140 at times before purging and sometimes constant release of air at dryer. Have changed the governor and airdryer along check valve. Any suggestions? Cant hear any leaks and no lines are crossed that I can tell.

    Put shop air to the signal line from the wet tank to the governor. This will charge the governor and compressor unloaders. If the unloaders are leaking in the compressor you will hear the air leaking back out the main air intake of the air compressor. Bad compressor unloaders could be causing your problems.

    Is that an easy job to replace those? Where exactly here they located ? Like to do it myself and save some money but have not had to replace those before

    Depends on the compressor. Not familiar with what Freightliner is installing now.
