And they screwed you out of 35 miles from Calgary to Edmonton. It's 185 miles. :)

I think anyone who is associated with Hit&Run is screwed the minute they sign anything with the company name on it...

Ooops lol got mixed up there has to be 150 down to lethbridge 180 to edmonton never could get the miles right on those 2 runs... I just dont know why they screaming for professional drivers to put in the seat when they have high school drop outs behind the computers probably alcoholic drug addicts that dont have the slightest clue to what their doing basically because they dont care the people upstairs dont care that they dont know what their doing because its not costing them one penny to leave you sitting or to run you as a local driver by the mile... they just give these guys a computer(zero experience)and say heres your drivers do whatever the hell you have to do to get the run done... i simply dont know why they choose to take the money out of the driver wallet instead of making it legit taking it out of the customers, like why not try to keep good drivers why not run the company where we both make the money common sense dictates they would at least try it run it like the rest of canada trucking companies but their addicted to get those millons totally oblivious of the main goal or point that were ALL here to make the money, you can run this company get the loads done fashionably lining everyones pocket but their greedy they dont want to share the bucks and thats pathetic and unacceptable so run drivers run just not for H&R... The saying all trucking companys are the same well their not H&R are in a class of their own after 14 years driving i have never ever seen a company like this and i worked for some pretty shabby companies over those years but nothing comes close to these guys thats for dam sure...

All boils down to desperate drivers needing work. If everyone decided to take a stand and boycott there cowboy outfits they'd be out of business. That will never happen so H R will live on.

A lot of people here have mentioned having problems with the Auxiliary Power Units on their tractors not working forcing them to be without heating or air conditioning while sleeping; I'm wondering why that is. I worked for a carrier several years ago whose APUs only worked about half the time, so when they weren't working I just left the main engine of the tractor running, sometimes they had an automatic shutoff but I avoided that by leaving it in high idle. Does H&R have something to stop drivers from doing that?

I'd prefer to go work for a different company but am having difficulties getting hired.

There are several options to control a truck's idle. High idle cancel, temperature idle, timed idle, no idle, etc. All set via the laptop hooked to the ECM. It's to their benefit to keep the APUs running. Do they refuse to fix them or are the drivers too lazy to get them fixed?
