Getting CDL in Killeen-TX - Self Certification

    Hello:
    Im currently trying to get my CDL in Killeen TX. I already have my permit, however I do need someone to train me or any place willing to rent a truck. If you know anyone please let me know and how much is it.
    Also my other questions is while I was filling out the forms for my CDL I saw in the Self Certification Affidavit 4 different categories. I would like to know the difference btw 1 and 2. It seems like for number 1 I'm going to need a Medical Certificate. How does that make any difference??? Can I get my Medical Certificate after I get my Driver License.

    most states have gone to needing a medical certificate before a renewal of your cdl
    feds got their fingers into that I would assume

    You now need a medical certificate for the license, no exceptions and you also have to maintain it now so that means a physical every year or two years.

    Yep, State have to have them on file now. I believe the ultimate goal is to code it onto the license so the nice DOT office will be able to swipe your license and see the current medical certificate rather than having to pull it out to show him.

    There a guy in cleburne for 350. will spend 4-5 hours with you driving you around teaching you stuff the want to see, was way to easy, his truck is auto,with a 28`pup behind,
    just google cdl truck rental.
