Well im all done and could had been in a lightweight yesterday, when I was talking to leasing I mentioned about my wife riding with me in the summer time, ( school teacher ). Leasing said you can get a lightweight as long as you talk to the powers that be, But you would have to wait till Mon or Tue to get a truck. So I talked to him, actually his backup, he was out of town for the day. And it was approved. They sent a note down to leasing saying it was ok for me to get a condo. They let me come home for the weekend since I live close to the terminal. I was told expect a call Mon or Tue to come get a truck.

Well Monday morning I got the call and was down at the terminal 4hours later. Leasing gave me a checklist with a truck number. So I do the checklist and hand it in to get punch list filled. They worked on it over night and said it was good to go. I walked around it again and I noticed there was several things I was not comfortable about. Like tires, APU sounding rough ect. So I bounce it around from shop to shop to get a 2nd opinion. Long story short, it now has new tires all the way around. The truck is still at the APU shop been there 5 1/2 hours. Last I checked they still didn't know what the cause of the problem is. So hopefully it will be fixed by morning. So I can make some money.

Well I got my truck back and took off for my first load solo. I get to Dallas and crash for the night and guess what, APU problems again. I QC'ed RA and they said wow, they were still surprised because they replaced half of the APU when it was in the shop. Its working so so right now, it over heats every so often. So I guess im going back to Springfield soon to get the rest of it replaced. Hopefully they will just swap it out with another one. But outside that so far so good.

On The International truck I had to remove the cover in order to keep it from overheating. That thing spent more time in the APU shop than it was worth. Even had the guys at Rigmaster working on it. No luck. Prime finally pulled it and replaced it. Funny thing was, the APU was brand new when I picked up that truck.
On my Cascadia, Rigmaster put an oversized fan on it to keep it from overheating.

Thanks I will mention that to the APU shop the next time we talk about it. Hopefully it will be a easy fix.

It sucks, but those are the rules they are required to follow. Did you work at all in that time?

Well I am starting my 6th week solo. Went home for the Labor Day weekend for a couple of days and back out and up in the north east again. Can't say I like the area. But it is what it is. Maybe I was told wrong but when you get home the day you asked does that count as day 1 or is it the next day. I'm confused. It seemed during training it was one way and solo it's different. What gives?
