How much was the fine?
I don't know the answer to your question. -
That is a truck specific ticket, and I don't know about points. However, if you have any other serious violation, get ready for a 60 day vacation from work. The Feds can also level a $2,700 civil fine on you as well.
Lilbit Thanks this. -
If I'm not mistaken, they fine the company you work for as well. I heard it's about $10.000.

There's also the matter of that silly little $11,000 fine for the M/C... MOST Motor Carriers make their O/O's and drivers sign a clause holding the DRIVER responsible for that $11k if they get hammered... Bluetooth Headsets are between $50 and $200 ... seems a cheap insurance policy by my way of thinking.

I'm amazed at how many guys I see still holding a phone to their ear.
SHO-TYME, Giggles the Original and Raiderfanatic Thank this. -
Either they dont know or dont care. But then I see alot playing on they're phones as well.

You can be fined for wearing a blue tooth head set? -
Hand held cb mikes should be illegal too, as they are dangerious to our own personal safety as well as the publics. it would stimulate the economy with mandatory investments in blue tooth cbs..... wtf. this crap has gone way too far for way too long
-
NO! That statement was intended to highlight how little it takes to AVOID the monster fines... Sorry if there was any confusion on that point
