I'll try to keep this as short as possible. I obtained my class A CDL in Dec' 06. I drove for Stevens Transport, Coca Cola, and finally Werner.

In Jan' 09 I had an accident where I ran over a patch of ice and went sliding into a snow filled ditch. I was terminated as a result.

No one would hire me and after a failed career change, I have decided I need to start driving again. Problem is I have been out of the truck for

almost 5 years, and it seems everyone in my area (Columbus, OH) wants recent experience.

Does anyone know who would hire me in my area? Thank you.

Try USA Truck, Schnieder, England, Hunt or England. Just be honest with them and tell them like you told us. One of these will probably take you.

Mind if I ask why you left coke to drive for Werner?

Paschall Truck Lines will probably hire you and run you through their refresher course. It's free if you stay 12 months.

I left coca cola because my bosses were #####, one of the trucks I got stuck driving a lot wouldn't go over
45 on the highway and I hated walking around the ghetto with thousands of dollars in cash in my pocket.
I got on the anheuser busch account when I went to Werner. It was a pretty sweet gig I thought.
About $500 a week, no touch, mostly drop n hook and I was home every night.
