It would be best to check with both the federal authorities and the individual states that you are going to drive through, possibly all 48 of them on the mainland. Also, if you are going to go up to Canada, you may want to check with the Canadian authorities.
Honestly, you would be better off NOT having any weapons or tasers inside the truck. There will be less chance of getting into any kind of trouble whatsoever. DO YOU REALLY FEEL THAT YOU NEED THEM?fr8te_sh8ker Thanks this. -
It's The Bill of Rights, not the bill of needs. Who wouldn't want the ability to protect their life? I am not trying to be flippant, it's a serious question.
ColumbiaBoB, poppapump1332, ed2057 and 2 others Thank this. -
According to our local sheriff (MN) if you're not able to legally own or carry a pistol you cannot legally own or carry a taser. I know that doesn't answer the op's question but maybe its a piece of the puzzle.

I mean I would like to protect myself when I get my own truck

that makes 2 of us. the last i check the cops don't like getting tased while robbing the driver. j/k
the best place to find out. is call the dot and ask them. some states it's illegal for citenzens to have a taser. other states it treated like a hand gun. other states treat it like a remote to your t.v. one thing you should do before using it on anyone. is have it used on yourself first. so if your married. have your wife shoot you with it. she will enjoy the release of stress you give her. -
You KNOW she would. LOL
