Got a question if yall don't mind answering. I perfectly understand if you don't want to answer.
1. What kind of trucks do you have?
2. Did you buy it new or used?
3. If used, how many miles was on the truck when you got it?
4. What is your truck payment per week?
5. How much are yall paying in fuel for the week?
Looking for honest answers. Yall have been helping me out a bunch so far. Seems like yall are doing fine.

You need "recent" OTR experience. Back to truck driving school for your refresher course noobyKE5WDP Thanks this.

I bought used, buying new is not very smart, my first truck had 450K on it when I bought it and my latest truck had 284K. Fuel expenses depends on how many miles you drive a week and what part of the country you drive those miles in. You will buy 1 gallon for every 6-8 miles you drive and for every hour you idle.

Why not buy new when you have a warranty? Plus when it's payed off, it's still a fairly new truck. I'm looking for numbers. If you don't want to put them out there for the public, PM me. I see why one would get an older truck, but I don't want a truck that will breakdown a week after I put my name on it.

getting a new or used truck mostly depends on what your ideal goal is. i went new because i don't intend on buying this truck, i wanted to learn the in and out of being a o/o and mostly to see if it was for me, i got the warranties so that's one less headache and money outta pocket i have to be worried about, by the time my 1 yr lease is up ill have enough money and exp to go to a actual dealership and finance a truck.
used can work out but its more luck of the draw then anything hoping you don't get a bad truck, i met alot of guys who have used truck and doing well and i met some with used trucks that are not doing so well, new or used you should do i really good inspection of the truck cause even a new truck will breakdown.KE5WDP Thanks this. -
