How long does it take before the LCAPP starts taking away the deductions from my settlement for steer tires? I got a new set of steers and 3-axle alignment about 4 weeks ago and still have not seen any deductions yet? I got that authorization number which I gave to the service writer at the TA and he said they had it covered from there. I just want to make sure there wasn't anything else I needed to do to make sure that hole process went through. Do not want to get my contract terminated because Landstar might think I am trying to put one over on them.

I run heavy out of Tn good freight in and around our area, never seem to have issues with finding anything to go on a step either big or small. And I still get home every 2-3 weeks
-
Depends on the shop, I would count on with in the next 3 weeks. Ive had it take up to a month. the shop has to turn the paperwork over to the national account then it has to go to landstar ect ect.. but trust me landstar wont forget you owe them.LOlDewey120 Thanks this.

Dont worry it was the same for me,it took almost six weeks for them them to start making deductions.Dewey120 Thanks this.

There were a few reasons for leaving Panther. The most prevalent was we are very independent people. We both owned our own businesses before going OTR together. There was still too much hand holding and monitoring for us at Panther. We like the freedom to run where we want, as hard as we want for however long we want and however much we want. We were originally going to come to LS, Ryan (my husband) was approved and everything but I had less than a year in so we went with Panther to bide our time. We made good money at Panther but we are looking for something that is better suited for us. We think LS might be it. We'll see.russellkanning and fireba11 Thank this.

Been here for 3 months and I'm finally start to notice there's plenty of Double Brokered freight... I had an agent basically tell me I was an spoiled driver because I wouldn't take his double brokered load out of NC when i told him the rate was too low... but I finally figured out what was going on when I heard the phrase "Let me call the customer and see if they still have it"... just a small gripe I have
-
thanks
This was a huge factor for us and we have enjoyed our time working with Landstar Agents and the home office.

Even if the load is a direct customer sometimes agents have to call and see if the load is still available. Some customers send loads out to several approved trucking companies and then the trucking companies let them know if they can cover the load or not. Yes, plenty of 3pl loads here. Many agents are of the fuzzy slipper type who just cut and paste loads from broker boards but if you give it some time you can usually spot these agents.

I was leased to Landstar with my reefer trailer...some time ago...
I left basicly because of the Low Dry Van Rates...period....
I initially went with them
due to LS only having about 125 or so Guys w/ reefer's ( at that time) .
At that time, there is no way I was going to haul $1.40-$1.60/mile freight
when fuel was hovering over $4.xx/ Gallon....
And my LS BCO adviser was trying to talk me into
continuing to do so....I just was laughing when speaking to her
on the phone......
If I went back to LS , I would do it again with my own step deck....
Getting involved w/the Government Loads is where the $ is....milskired Thanks this. -
I have spotted out a few of these agents, but even the better agencies do this, "CTU" out of the Atlanta area is one, they do alot of their own DuPont freight but also post freight from brokers.. not really complaining but again just something that gets me frustrated at times
