Pilot in NH, got a whole 500 mile run to deliver on Monday....sheesh!
been a less than great week for miles for some reason....hope next week recovers, my average daily miles has dropped below 400 for this run!
at least routing rerouted me around NYC -
Undecalled 660's and new 680's looked sharp at the mothership. Wouldn't mind ditching the prostar for one of those

Made it home with 10 mins left on my 70. Question for you guys. If you're due 4 days home time, is that in actual days or hours? My FM said I'm to be available in "96 hours", which means I don't really get 4 days off after being out 18 days. With my phase 3 FM it was always in days. I haven't checked the DRG, but I thought it said for instance when out 18 days you get 4 "days" home time. So now I have to be available in the morning of my 4th day. Not a huge deal this time, but if I had plans I'd be upset about it.

As for HT, I have had easy FM's when it came to that, but I did get into it with a previous one. From the FM's mouth, it goes by hours out and hours off. Example, if you head out at 12PM and on your day home you get in at 7 AM. By hours, you didn't get a full day out. So that could short you a perceived day off. As for once off, I've never had an issue with coming out at 7 AM the day I needed to. Just communicate with your FM. If you're productive and your FM wants to play games then play games with them. Stay out "11" days and take your 3. Never stay longer or come home a day short of the number you need for time off. Just my opinion.

My DRG says hometime is based on hours....3 days earned = 72 hrs, 4 days earned = 96 hrs...
Meltom and technoroom Thank this. -
It also depends on your fm, my last fm never cared. These do and go by the book even if I get home late as I always do. It is what it is.

And if anyone ever tells you that you haven't "earned" your home time, find them and punch them in the head. I heard an FM in Gary tell a driver that, it took a lot of restraint not to sock him on that drivers behalf. We are human beings, not slaves. We don't have to earn time with our families. Any FM that won't wiggle a little bit on time off is a prick and #### them.
