Where have you been advertising? I've been looking for a job around GR and haven't seen any ads for your company.
In my search on Craigslist, Indeed, etc I bypass vague ads, and the ones with poor English
. I want to see the companies name (so I can research them before I even call, mostly their CSA score), what they are paying, and home time.
If the ad lacks basic information I figure it to be spam or them trying to hide something. Just my 2 cents.
In my opinion 90 days is way too long to wait for medical. The last 2 driving companies I worked for had benefits day 1. One company had 550 trucks and the other one was a 15 truck company just down the road from you.Wingnut1 and deskdriver Thank this. -
I can not stand to troll through all the b/s posts here to see if this was already suggested so here goes
My suggestion would be offer APUs & Fridges in all the trucks.... maybe even let drivers have there own small microwaves in the trucks also...deskdriver Thanks this. -
We advertise on both Craigslist and the local paper. I will refresh our Craigslist add with more info on it, I will also see if i can figure out a way to put a link to our csa score in the add to make things quicker. We have been doing 90 days on benifits but we may be able to change it to 30, Would that make a difference?

Good Idea's Thank you. currently only 1 of our trucks has a built in fridge. none have apu's but we have been looking into the night system but have not made any firm decisions yet, and some of the drivers do have microwaves and we had our shop wire the inverters for them.cetanediesel and SLCTrucker Thank this.

What are the stipulations for this? Do you have to work a set # of days before the paid vacation is available?
-
Well we are here and ready to be found. I am really hopeing to get teamed up with some quality drivers and avoid the "give me" generation of drivers
-
Well I would sure hope that we do not have a bad reputation, we have had a couple drivers leave under adverse terms but not every company is a good fit for every driver and vise versa, I am sure most people on here would understand what I mean. i can not advertise on this forum but if you are looking for a company to join in the near future I would welcome the chance to meet and talk to you about joining our team. Please send me a PM with your questions when you get a chance.

If it came down to 2 equal jobs I couldn't decide on, it would be the difference for me.deskdriver Thanks this.

you have to work 1 year before vacation is allowed I think they give roughly half of vacation starting at beginning of year and rest after the next 6 months ..driver have to be able to verify previous experience more so than just saying yea I been driving 25 years...this is working real well for this company to get well seasoned drivers.deskdriver and cetanediesel Thank this.
