I've had nights running down hills that should've required a full rectal exam, and only gotten a shine of spot light from passing trooper, and also been pulled over for 3 MPH and given ticket.
I run < 10MPH over through IL, and comfortable. But not sure how far that limit stretches in other states?
Prime/ CR England and, 'goody two shoes' need not respond! j/k
How much MPH over does your state allow?

Generally 5-6 over in WY.. 3-5 over in CO.
TheDude1969 and striker Thank this. -
Depends on the limit. If its 70 I don't touch it. If it's 55 I usually stretch it to 58 with no consequences. Does anybody know how strict Michigan is on their stupid 70/60 split speed limit? I do 62 on the Interstates and assume I am safe.

Cali usually will let you slide at 59-60mph.

Some states are very strict on truckers because they hate us like Ohio.

I usually do 65 all the way across from Phx to LA, but I know where they like to hide. lol

Depending on the state but sometimes I might go 5 over and no more than that. But in 55mph zones 57-58mph is what I drive often.

Have an in-law who is a retired Illinois state trooper, and a brother in law who's a retired Oklahoma officer. Now this could only apply to 4 wheelers but the general rule of thumb from both is..... 9 your fine, 10 your mine! So if I can, I only go 8 over unless in a construction zone, then its strictly what the posted limit is if not slower.

all day long @ 63mph, not a problem...73 seems to irritate them, go figure?Steve D Thanks this.
