I was gonna say they if anyone will bust him. They stopped me once because the plastic wrap from a pallet had wrapped around my air Lines. Only asked me to cut it off and tape the rest but inwas still surprised

I had a strap break 1/2 mile before the South Dakota POE on 29 a few months ago. pulled in with it dragging and they let me put a new one on and let me go. guess it was my natural charm

well , he evidently has permits , since he has it flagged and red flags etc. when you order the permits for overlength you give the trl length. the shipper would have have saw this when loaded.
the driver may just be a company driver , that just loaded what he was told. sometimes its best to keep yer snout out of someones business. instead of calling crst, the dot and anybody else why not get a set and talk to the driver himself.kwswan, Big_Perv93, SL3406 and 11 others Thank this. -
and perhaps he is delivering right nearby, is permitted and is traveling only in daylight hours, again find out from the driver before you cause him any grief, if it concerns you that much, you should talk to him yourself and not just be a dimedropper(oldschool,when payphones were a dime).

Driver was no where to be found after he parked. He may have hit the bunk :shrug: -
Then where would all those owner operators.......eh..............I mean L/P drivers keep all their stuff?

I agree with skateboard man, there is a place about 2 miles from that truck stop that loads of plate and sheet steel just like that go to, several every day in fact. So before you call the cops on this guy, wait until you see him and ask him where he is going with it, apparently you have nothing better to do anyway. Then when you talk to him you can show him in your little green book the rules regarding lighting, and explain to him how to put remote lights on a load like this the next time. He probably is inexperienced and doesn't know any better, teach him, don't rat him out and cost him money.CL10473, toostroked, Boardhauler and 14 others Thank this.
