took the 99 out of scramento. to avoid at least ONE scale.

this double nickle speed is KICKING my butt.

bonuses don't mean anything to me. i prefer going months WITHOUT getting inspected. my longest streak is 9.

17 if you factor out the highway patrol.

So what did he say after you told him you had him on camera?

what kind of dash cam do you have? I have that $99 from TA/Petro and the video quality sucks.

    @ Klingon,

At first his story was that he had changed lanes and I rear ended him. Than after the CHP officer came to see me and I asked him to step into my office to watch the recording of the dash cam he claimed to have engine problems. He told the CHP officer the pickup was dying and he was trying to get to the shoulder and he claimed he panicked that he would get stuck in a traveling lane. With his pickup supposedly dying he was able to accelerate pretty good after he hit me to cut yet in front of another semi to get to the shoulder. All those things are fishy to me and I asked right away to press charges.

    I started a thread here: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...dvice/222629-why-we-all-should-have-dash.html

I think VisionLogistics put it perfect in his response on page 2.

I bought my dashcam from Bill Gremminger at dashcamusa.com. I saw him in the LandLine magazine. He is a former driver himself and OOIDA member. It might not be the best or cheapest dash cam, but his service is great. I still have one more level to go up on the resolution to make it HD. I still think the recording is fuzzy, but my laptop does not have the best screen and I am somewhat challenged with computer stuff.

I was trying to burn a copy for the officer right on the side of the road, but ran into some trouble thanks to being all thumbs when it comes to computers. I have Windows live movie maker and I have figured out how to crop the movie, but it changes the file format and that did not work with other stuff.

Here is my computer motto: Operating a computer is like operating a submarine. As soon as you open a window everything goes to shiiiiit.

I have been planning to get one of them myself, since I have moved to FL and will be running between here and Atlanta allot. Need one that has good clear picture and must be clear enough to read license plates. Any suggestions?
I hope that A hole gets what he deserves. He thought he would get a new truck out of that if nothing else. He needs a week in jail at least.

that vid quality is good enough. since you uploaded it to youtube. i would just emailed the file or something. or burned onto cd.

what also be interesting is to see how that plays out on your csa.

but most of us don't have any means to burn or whatever anyways. how many of us actually carry spare equipment to hand over the officer our evidence.:biggrin_25525:

looks like i be camping on the marine base in san diego tomorrow. only got 8 left to get me from bakersfield to the marines. 237 miles. and deliver. and i need to get back to bakersfield for my next load to texas. and don't even have the hours to make that delivery on thursday.

    THIS SUCKS.

There are a couple of rest areas down there just south of the S/B scale to camp at. S/B there is a vista point after the scale/before the R/A that will let trucks spend the night. There are a bunch of camping spots if you are N/B on I-15 too.

didn't go down the 15. and the rest area and vista view were full of F"n motorhomes. SHORT ones too. they coulda packed 3 to a spot. hit the dirt area though.

the 8 o clock truck is MIA. the 9 truck is MIA. the 10 truck is MIA. the 11 is READY TO ROCK N ROLL.

MBC does NOT stand for marine base corp. it stands for Metro Bio Chemicals. but it's close to the base.
