That's because you would start giving advice on things you know nothing about.

I guess we all have different values. The mods on this forum do seem pretty consistent. They are somewhat lenient about business advertising and building. They don't seem to mind whether information is accurate or not. But name calling, oh, we can't have any of that.

My values are a little different. I'm a truck driver, not a girl scout. There isn't a name I can be called that I haven't heard many times, doesn't really bother me. But I certainly can't expect the forum to cater to my values system anymore than anyone else. All I can expect is for them to be consistent and determine what is off limits based off of their actions towards others and myself. It's all good, the forum has been very valuable to me, I more or less started a business based largely on info found here. So it's the least I can do to curb my personal ideas and abide by fairly straightforward guidelines.

mje, Shaggy and ethos Thank this.

People forget that this forum has many visitors who are not connected to trucking, just Joe Public.

Do we really want to enforce the stereotype image we have by allowing to let "Joe Public" see even more off our worst side?:biggrin_25513:

No its not.Mndriver never did like me every since I teased him about shutting down in 40 mph wind and hes an O/O.Times I didn't give advice just my opinion and he still come back with a smart ### answer.Whether ppl give advice or not,we all need to be professional and respectful with our replies, not act like children..

I have tried a few times to be friends with mndriver,he didn't want that.Maybe I don't know as much as many of you drivers do but I do know some.Who cares if you like or you disagree with what I have to say or anyone else.Noone should disrespect posts, threads or the members. No wonder there's so many mods on this forum. No way could 1 mod per shift could keep up with all the bickering.

    Leftlane101 and mje Thank this.

MN Driver wasn't always correct either
he was convinced that windchill affects an inanimate object like a truck engine
where windchill only is a made up term by weather forecasters on how cold it feels on exposed skin
