When I worked for swift, I observed a driver nail a blind side park. Much to my amazement, when the driver got out, it was a lady. She came over to the table I was sitting at. I could not resist but to comment how impressed.I was with her park job. She thanked me then sat down to talk. Shorly into our conversation she told me she was a transgender person. This explains it... there are some good women drivers out there... but to do a blindside lke that.. it had to be a guy. Thought I was going to lose it there for a second.

Mom.... heres the real deal. You have far more to worry about your son just being out on the road so much, versus whether or not he will be harrased. If it were my son this would be my primary concern. Its dangerous out there... withalll those four wheelers trying to beat the truck.

In our world there are those that will accept and those that wont.... regardless of what industry your son is in. Im pretty confidant your son is already aware off this fact and knows how to handle most situations.

Relax mom... and I give yiu permission to share my motto with your son...

    RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!!!

I will always be worring about him being on the road, thats just the way it is. The assurance that I was looking for I recieved, I know that the trucking industry is just like that Barrel of apples....just a hand full of rotten ones stink-up the whole lot and the boob tube is just that a boob tube....Anyway, I know that my son will be alright - and my wish for all of hard working truckers out there a good nights sleep, and clear roads on all points...zbbrown60..P.S - Thanx to all of you who responded

Well guys he is in Denver now, waiting on a shuttle to Greely. This is what is so confusing - he was told that he would recieve a check before he go on the road ( see previous post ) while he was on the plane he decided to read the Welcome Packet he recieved, well according to the packet he won't recieve any check till 2-weeks later. Guess we will wait till Monday to find out which is right, by the way when they fly you out unless you pack lite and just have the carry on's be prepared to pay for your luggage that you ship.... Well alls well on this end..zbbrown60 ..... P.S to the Blindtrucker You don't have to read it, you were not personally invited, so go spew your discontent somewhere else.. Thank You
