Central Refrigerated Truck Stop II

How long did you have the new dm before finding out? I've had them switch a dm on me, and I found out later that day, either with a "hi, I'm your new dm" message over my qualcomm, or a phone call.

Do you know if your dm came from one of the old terminals? Rochelle has only been open a few months, so unless you know what terminal he used t obe out of (if any) there isn't a lot of history on your dm.

 

Reminds me of a funny story from when Central first bought us:

Me: Hey, Roger. Will you make sure payroll reimburses me for that trailer wash?
DM: This isn't Roger, this is Dave and I'm your new DM.
Me: Okay, Dave. Will you make sure that payroll reimburses me for that trailer wash?
DM: It looks like Betty took care of that for you.
Me: Okay. Who's Betty?
DM: She was your DM for three days last week, before I became your DM.
Me: Good job, Betty. It was great working with her. I'll miss her terribly.

Just had to laugh because Betty was my DM for a while and I didn't even know it until she was already gone.

Luckily, my new DM understood my sense of humor, because whenever something would go wrong I'd say "Betty would never let this happen!"

 

I swear Murphy has been hiding in my top bunk. I've been following these forums for a few months and just last week decided to post for the first time. My first post was telling a potential student how Central had been the right move for me. Very few problems and overall happy. But, I'll be darn, if my DM isn't going to force me to go back and remove that post. Lesson learned...I'm not posting anything else positive and when somebody asks me how I like it here, I'm going to hand them a card that states, "sorry, deaf mute".

 

I would have told the DM to stuff it and fire me if they want because I will express my opinion any #### time I want to.

 

You do realize that you can't just write that then leave us hanging... Please tell us 'the REST of the story' ... (Dating myself with that one!)

 

I don't meet to many people that remember Paul Harvey's radio show and even fewer that remember how he would tell the "the REST of the story". That is the story behind the story.
i agree though, what did the dm do to make Clyde want to go back and erase a previous post about Central being a good place to start out. Really does ANYBODY here think they would have been better off at England or Prime?

 

Let me guess, everything was fine until your dm did something to mess it all up? Come on, you can't leave us hanging.

I was wondering why no one replays the old Paul Harvey stuff the other day. It ran so long if hey started over it would all seem brand new to me by now!
