Clean Showers?

most pilots ive been to are nasty smelling showers I recommend most t/a t stops even if you have to pay $12.00

I place my vote for the travel centers of America in Amarillo Texas just south of I-40.

 

Grabbed a shower at the Pilot at exit 29, I-75 in KY this morning. Count not get any cold water. Hot water coming out of the faucets no matter which controls were used. I got it done, though, but barely. Upon leaving, I mention this to the clerk on duty (it was about 5AM, so she was by herself behind there...manager was somewhere else). What does she say?

"Oh, that's been happening...not sure what's wrong."

Swell. Thanks for letting your customers know of a potential hazard.

 

Yep and shower fee's are a tax deductible item too ..

I was pleasantly surprised this week with a shower. I had gone two days without due to scheduling and found a hidden gem. I had emptied out at Wegmans DC in Pottsville, PA (which was a pleasant experience in itself). It was nearly 10pm and I figured the Loves and Pilot and pretty much every truckstop from Pottsville to York (where a loaded trailer awaited) was packed. I decided to try the independent that was closest, which was the Raceway Travel Plaza at exit 104 on 81. I found the small lot only half full. Went in to use the bathroom. I noticed they had two showers. I asked the guy behind the fuel desk the price. $8.50. I went to get my shower bag. Handed the cashier a 10 and he handed me two towels in very good condition and a washcloth. The shower itself was very clean and well taken care of. I was grungy enough that I would have cared less but I was pleased with my shower experience there. Sometimes you do find those hidden gems.

 

best showers.............. T/A in Gary, IN. these guys do a great job of cleaning and take pride! I will tip them if they get the little thing even good cleaners don't get.
East Seattle/North Bend WA T/A is always nice and clean in the showers too.
