yeah neither company is on my list, just the only 2 who have contacted me, I put my resume in the open and what I was looking for, neither of those have offered what im looking for either....
If I move on its going to be for something local/dedicated so I can be home, I made a FB post a bit ago about something else that pissed me off and mentioned money, got my best friends sister asking me now if I can do vacuum truck and stuff in the oil fields, told her if I can pull a 53' then im sure I can drive a small vacuum truck....at least would be hourly and home nightly and still make more than I am now.
I love driving like I said before but right now I have family and money issues to work with, whatever I end up doing I will go back on the road again once my kids are grown and my wife can go with me.
Good night from...

Wolfy if you are looking at melton. I would look at tmc and maverick. I havent ran across a driver that wasnt happy yet
-
I have heard good things about stevens too, talked with a couple drivers who were very happy
None of those are what im looking for right now though, if I fail at what im looking for then I will start applying but im doing my homework and deciding carefully. -
I have to say. Swift is confirming my statement about the zombie apocalypse more and more lately.. I want to run and they tgave me a load of had to sit for 20 hours for delievery. Now trying to give me another with 10 hour layover before pick up. Im doing more sitting lately than driving.

Little America, WY. 680 miles to go and be there before 2300 tomorrow night. Can I make it. Right now with these headwinds and mntns and hills, 6.5. I know that I should have followed my gut and not taken this load. Wolfy, the reason why I will not ever do a surge for Wal-Mart again, when they are short loads, what they have go to the assigned company trucks there. The L/O that are helping with the surge, we are on the bottom of the list. Also, will not run out of Oregon. Fuel tax, we do not get any, but we are still charged for all miles travelling on OR roads.

guess a different situation for you, I was just told im setup on guarantee pay while im doing this so rather I get the miles or not im getting $750 a week, they released me today since its been 6 days, called up the DM in charge in willows and asked if I can do another week, he said of course, I have to do a 34 since walmart wants me at full hours but I will take the guaranteed pay...
so now doing a 34 at the Pilot in Stanfield, OR
Started talking to a guy today when I was looking at coolers and stuff, he tried recruiting me to work for JCT and gave me a spew on why he loves driving for them yada yada and gave me a card. -
wolfy.. i had a conway driver do the same. said he was a driver/recruiter. told him no thanx, happy where i'm at now. that walmart thing sounds good. talked to matt today and he said he's gonna refer me to the intermodel fleet manager about the driver position. not sure how much a paycut i"ll take, but keeps me out of the snow lol

anyone know anything about national carriers? got them contacting me now too and when I look at their website and see hiring areas they have a west coast division that looks like its mostly CA area.
Guess I can start browsing company sections on here -
p/u in vancouver wa at 0800 tomorrow and delivers in toledo or anytime before 2300 08/22. originally wanted me to p/u today at 1530 and deliver by 2000 today. said no way. wasn't even done at the recycler till 1500. don't know why a local can't do this. though i should get a load out of there like i did last time i was there
-
there are a lot of times I dont understand why locals cant take care of certain loads...
