Not as many locals around anymore. Lots have gone to intermodal and stay busy doing that. Don't forget to ask for local pay when you get one...should be flat rate plus local mileage premium.

pfft should of drove to Stanfield to do your 10, I even am cooking dinner!

of course you might not like my meal, making okra and tomatoes with corn and rice pilaf, love my little butane stove. Its nice doing these walmart loads since I can shop everyday if I want to, picked up a few food items today just to spread my variety some, so sick of the same crap.

Sitting in an air conditoned room at The Orleans in Las Vegas. By the time you figure in 8 hrs of idling the truck plus $13.00 for a shower (at the Petro) it was about the same $$$, plus I didn't have to drive an extra 20 miles out of my way to get to the Petro.

Did a drop-n-hook at the Costco in Summerlin (west Las Vegas) and of course got the infamous "you cannot do that" mesage. Was in the Orleans parking lot before I got it fixed. Headed back to Kingman tomorrow to pick up a load headed to the Walmart DC in Fontana. Not supposed to drop it til Thursday, but I'm gonna try to do it tomorrow. Worst they can do is say "NO". The DC is only about 1/2 mile from the Fontana terminal.

Being a trucker got a coupon book, tomorrow or later today I will be getting unlimited shrimp and bbq buffet for only $3.77 and they have a movie theatre so might go see that new Elysium movie.

I tend to walk in, put in $20 - then either lose it real quick or make a bit in that same time.
I'm in Montana, and they seem to have a casino at every truck stop.
I went to one, hit a four of a kind on my last bet, and left with $50.
The next day I dropped that first $20, so I left - still 10 bucks ahead.

The buffet sounds like a good deal, and you'll probably spend less seeing the movie than gambling in those sucker joints.
