There are already a couple threads about that here, you can check them out for a little more info, but basically they will go over your application with you, pretty much word-for-word verifying what you have written on there. This is your one chance to make stuff right - if they catch you lying about something on the application after that... it probably won't end well. Make sure it's all correct and honest.
When I did mine the recruiter also asked what other companies I had applied for, the usual "why do you want to be a truck driver" questions, etc etc. It's nothing to get worked up about, doesn't take long at all.Chopper1776 and surfernabox Thank this. -
thanks dieselfuelonly!!!

No problem, I see you are from Greenville so if you decide to go with Schneider you will probably get sent to Charlotte for training - that's where I went, if you've got any more questions feel free to ask.
robbiecox6 Thanks this. -
when will I know if I get accepted to orientation?
-
I am stealing this from a comedian!
About 2-3 minutes after they call and tell you they have accepted you for orientation! I'm sorry, it depends on how long they make you wait! They shouldn't be to long, are you riding the dog bus? If it is very far I'd fly and see if they would reimburse the fare up to what the Dog would cost you?? Just a thought! -
I am also scheduled for a phone interview tomorrow morning. I submitted 5 or 6 applications this morning at around 8:00. I believe the recruiter called me around 9:00. I went through Driver Solutions and USA Truck to get my CDL and things didn't work out. The recruiter actually called the school that I attended and Driver Solutions just to make sure that I went to school and that I wasn't under contract with another company. It was nice to feel that the recruiter was willing to go the extra mile just to make sure everything could be cleared up. I'm from northern IL and heard they were hiring for the Lowe's account. Hoping to either get that or a regional position.

Just got off the phone with the recruiter, the phone call lasted about 5 minutes, the account I applied for has been filled.. that sucks!!!

Robbie, keep applying, that happened to me as well, and now I go to Schneider's orientation on the 27th. I also went through Driver solutions, and USA. Needless to say that did not pan out.

I submitted applications to Schneider for 5 different jobs yesterday, got a phone interview, and physical today. Robbie, apply for other positions that you would be willing to do, but don't necessarily want to do, just to get your foot in the door for future job openings in the company. CMCLENDON, I am just waiting for my drug test results and should be starting orientation on September 3rd.
