Doing a 34 at the Bloomsbury NJ T/A. The load delivers tomorrow morning. Been grazing the buffet for the last 3 hours, while the mentor is out with friends who live nearby. I should finish training next week, and just got my midterm notice yesterday.

I'm really getting tired of Northeast Regional...

 

3 hrs at the buffet? lol I spent 45 and that was just taking my time, I was a little disappointing with the buffet since some of the food really sucked, shrimp way over cooked etc.
Now im in the hole $180 and im done gambling, going to head over and watch a movie shortly.

Got an interesting call from my DL asking if things were ok, he said my pta was set to the 26th, I replied probably because im doing the walmart for another week, then he said it showed my truck went into a shop today in Utah with all kinds of problems, headlights, oil leak and a few other things. I said no im in Oregon and my truck is perfectly fine with nothing wrong....

It's either sit in the air conditioned restaurant, or in the truck... and it's 85 outside.
I'm going 20-30 minutes between plates, so it's not like I'm eating a lot.

 

its like 88 here, idling my truck for 30minutes just so im not sweaty before going in to see the movie, after the movie is over it wont be too long before dark and after dark its been getting down to 50 degrees here, I actually used my thin blanket last night and closed my windows.

 

Here in Ontario, OR. I was going to push all the way in but decided not do. Did a MAC 30 and was offered a nice 10K load out of the DC back to Olathe, due on Monday with a large window, and this one has a window of 2300 on Friday, so I thought, I will just take the hit on this weeks miles. Was $100 in the hole, so just moved some money around and will still see a check. Then on Monday morning, I will have almost 3500 miles for the week. Then hope for a nice 1500 mile run for Thursday. This will set me up just great before I go home on the 2nd. Maybe the load board will have something for me. Seem to always be in a bad area for fr8

 

I was wrong, it's 1.6 driving miles (east on San Bernadino, south on Banana) from the DC to the terminal.

They let me drop early but of course had no MTs.

After several "no load offerings" on Mac30 finally got 3 offers, all CRAP! So I'll be patient and see what turns up.

 

dropped the load in toledo this morning and pick up one there going to mira linda ca on the 08/28 at noon. lucky for me they are having me tcall it in lathrop tomorrow at 1145. gonna mac 22 and give it a couple hours more since the nicew slow drivew out of toledo slowed me down with all the 30 mph zones. sitting at a pilot in central point or for my ten

wolfy...lucky you talked to matt. would've sucked if you were sitting waiting for a load for awhile and found out your truck was in shop duty.
