Roehl Driver Check In Continued

Got unloaded in Richmond VA. The directions in holy moly. Had to jump a curb completely to avoid a light pole and I button hooked the turn as much as I could. Went to sonoco afterward, guy says he emailed CS this morning that load wouldn't be ready til tomorrow. I got there around 1330. Another load already prelded going to same place ready. Sat for a couple hours about left until got replaced to go to Jersey. YAY!!! Hopefully gravy VW load after. I have until Friday to go 300 miles. Oh well... Speaking of CS or crap loads or whatever else goings on, take the survey and be honest. I personally was and in the comments spoke my mind. Things won't change, nor will they know either why people jump ship or willing to if no one speaks up. Or we'll still be stuck with crap loads, sub par CS, FM's, and bone head planners. As for me I'm going to make sure that when I leave I'm not coming back. As far as OTR carriers I'm not going to ditch van for van, i'll at least do reefer or try out tanker. Unless its a gravy dedicated position

 

Dandy...in pa at ny border by the big cvs dc on rt 17. There was an oversize load flipped in median on 17...good job by road crew..best detour ive ever been on.

Drove out of maine this morning..nh, vt, ny.lol ten hr drive 444 miles

 

had a 4 stop hon load that all 4 stops dropped today in baton rouge and sulpher la, pp picking up weedeaters going to lowes in rockford

 

Petro near Stony Ridge, OH for the night. Heading to a massive TA near Jessup, MD tomorrow (paid parking according to TS guide).

 

East Saint Louis Pilot

I unloaded final stop on this door load this morning. I have yet to get a load assignment. My Guess i wont see one till tomorrow now. Never thought it would be that hard to find me a load for this curtain side in the Saint Louis area. Guess iam wroung, oh wells.

Also i never want to bump another dock. I had to block traffic to get into the last place i was at. Once i finaly got up to the dock my nose of the truck was a whole 10 feet from the road. Yep i pissed off a bunch of 4-wheelers when i was trying to get into the dock.

 

Parked here at Kwik stop exit 45 on I-94 Menomonie WI. Just had big storm roll thru. Hail, lightning, high winds. Dark enough to make the street light come on. Switched over to weather station and no mention of tornadoes. All good now, it moved off east towards Marshfield.

 

Trexler in Allentown. Another Roehl here. Talked to him a few min. At nexus during pick up. We are both eased to secacus NJ in the morning. Then both have same run next pre plan

 

Sitting in ferndale Washington after 2100 mile trip through Canada. Heading to Tulsa OK.

 

You won't get detention pay. I got burned on this a month ago sitting for just under 10 hours at a shipper. Got loaded right around 9 hrs so waited for 10 hr break to be up. Company claims won't pay detention because was used as break? Total and complete BS. I didn't choose to take my break at the shipper and neither did you, but we get penalized for it anyway I guess.

 

Rest area that's just for parking I-35 south of Des Moines, IA. The one I wanted before this one was full. Kind of creepy to be out here in BFE all by myself. Hope nobody swings in here and kills me..lol..Seems to be so hard to find parking anymore after 8 or 9 pm. Tight schedule running to Arkansas tomorrow thanks to getting seriously tangled up in Twin Cities traffic.
