I went to schneider Fontana for training summer of 2008, passed the course no problems. The day after, was driving through the Ontario mills parking lot , received a ticket for not making a complete stop at stop sign. Went over the road for two weeks and had to wait another two weeks for the ticket to clear before they would let me test for the cdl. After sitting around for two weeks I got rusty and did not pass the cdl test,. The economy collapsed a few weeks later, so I defaulted on the loan. Just wondering if I would be eligible to get with a training company or will I be blackballed. I spoke to a swift recruiter and said it wont be a problem, but that's a recruiter. I want to go to a private school like sage and get training, don't want to go the company route again. Whats everybody think? will I be blackballed or will I be able to get hired ? I have a perfect driving record no problems.
My situation, need advice

As long as you have a clean record, you shouldn't have a problem. You'll just have to find a company that will hire you without requiring previous experience. I know of a good school in Anaheim, CA.....California Career Schools. They have a truck course and also a bus course. Good luck.

it shouldn't be a problem. the private school is a better way to go. then your not under a year or two contract. having to work for very low wages for some trucking company. the ticket is 5 years old. so most won't even care. the thing you need to look in to. is see if california has a once in a lifetime cdl law or regulation. which means you can only get them once in your lifetime. if you applied before then failed the course. and let the permit go. over emotions of failing. then that can be a red flag for you. so a 15 minute phone call to the dmv.will do alot for you. and good luck

how could you become rusty waiting for a test for two weeks?
