I knew several lumpers that lived in the same county as me & they were all drug addicts & alcoholics. That's one reason they were lumpers, they couldn't pass a drug test to get a decent job. Most were on welfare and lumping for cash under the table.
You live in Corpus Christi; SVTN has a terminal there. Good company.

You could get that done in two hours easy. A guy next to me yesterday had the same thing and was out quick. Sounds like a good hourly rate to me. Plus you don't have to worry about TI/HIs since it's one product and that's what usually confuses most guys new to unloading.
I make most of my money unloading. Usually $30-40/hr depending on how fast I can get it done and how motivated I feel that day.mje Thanks this. -
The "express" method could earn you a one way "express" ticket to both the unemployment line as well as the "slammer".

Well the unloading didn't happen, I was met with the same bulls*** with all these requirements that I had to have in order to unload it myself. One being an Ohio state- specific workers comp card. Thats $200 that went into lumpers pockets instead of mine..
mje Thanks this. -
And you wonder why I flatbed!

I once had a lumper service tell me $200 bucks to unload half a trailer. I went to the office to complain as it seemed rediculous for what it was. The office informed me the the lumper service was pre-paided! The mfukrs don't make enough as it is, they have to try and rip you off too!
