Glad your project is working out good so far.
My buddy has his mini apartment all painted and will be having the trk. painted Sat.
He sent a pic of the old sleeper off and I told him it looked good as a daycab. He saw no humor in that

The wife is running back to town to get a darker metallic blue. Basically the one I picked when we were there the first time...But we all know, it isn't worth the argument huh?:biggrin_255:
Rooftop unit is up there now, and am running the wiring inside, then the plywood can be cut to the right size etc, then button it all up! Really looking forward to no more portable a/c unit inside the truck, and simply being able to push the remote start for the generator and reaching up and turning on the rooftop ac to keep cool when loading etc.
Rooftop unit was $814 out the door locally, so will have just under $3k in the whole setup. Not too bad for battery charging, heat and a/c, power outlets, and so on. Not to mention the whole system only weighs @220lbs and is quieter than any diesel APU out there by a long shot.

Remember the size of aluminum plate he used mate? And did he seal it to the roof with silicone then leave it at that, or secure it to the roof?
Edit, never mind, got a piece of 1/8" aluminum getting cut for me, which will cover all the way under the rooftop unit, plus @2" either side and @6" in front and behind.

    Cheers,
    Martin

    Good one..

    I'll keep that in mind.
Right now I'm so freaking pissed.
I called on a ld. with a broker I have worked with before and have allways gotten a little more from him.
So I call on a ld. Hey how you doing etc.
So I ask about the ld. and he says one of your guys just called me on it. I'm like Huh?
Ok said he will call me back and let me know if he takes the ld. or not.

So I call our main H.H. office and ask who else is here in the area and asked for a permit costs from this point to this end piont. Nobody why?
Well the broker calls me and let's me know the other guy got the ld.
    Ok. Thanks
So I call the the H.H. office back and find out it's one our part time / farmer agents in Il. that did this.
Not his customer base or his area. Got one of his buddies in the area.
So I call him and ask him nicely why he lded. around me. Well I ld. the guys who call me, he states. I asked you have access to our main board right? well yes. did you not see I'm like sitting right on top of this ld. Nope never looked to see who is in the area.
I bid the ld. for 4700. and allmost had it.
This arse tells me he got it for 4250.

I told him that's for the help and hung up.
    Rotten part time agent....

Here it makes me and others look bad when our own people are under bidding each other...

Kimball, SD gonna make it to Helena, MT tomorrow take a 34 and deliver in Ft. Harrison Monday AM then DH to Draper, UT to load a 20ft boat for Fairfax, VA. Any tips on how to to secure a boat that's on a boat trailer to my flatbed? Customer is going to have it loaded onto the deck with a flatbed tow truck! Should be fun!
