No, I'm with Werner for now.. I'm not impressed tho. :biggrin_25511:

I go out with my trainer tomorrow (Thursday)... One ex-trainer (who still works there) told a friend and I today to RUN as fast as we can. So I'm not sure what to do.

be careful with this cause most companies that hire out of school wont hire with anything less than the 140 hr schools I myself am looking at southwest truck driving school in phoenix because they offer either fulltime days, fulltime nights which are both 4 weeks or weekends which is 8 weeks but it will allow me to keep my current job and get my cdl think its 3995 cash and 4995 if you finance.

If you need the experience get at least 3 months if you can afford it.If you already have experience keep putting in applications.I'm scheduled for Millis on 3/03 but might have to go to swift because my unemployment runs out last week of feb. With Millis I have to go to there school for 3 wks no pay then 3day orientation then out with trainer.I will be getting things in order later tonight and on friday. I take my road test tomorrow.

That's exactly what I'm going to do. Get my 3 months in and go for a "better" company.

I received a lead today from my CDL School Director. He told me a beer company called for workers(most likely helpers) and he told them he had a guy who has his cdl that just graduated and he'll send him down or call. I went to DMV got my hazmat, doubles and already had tanker. I called the contact person then went to fill out application. While on my way I decided to call my oil company and ask if they were hiring. They said no, but another company was. I contacted that company filled out application, talked with office manager, meet the owner and they said "I'll give you a shot, I like you" I was given "THE JOB". They sent me out for WHIZ QUIZ and asked me if I wanted to try it out Saturday and Sunday to see if I liked it plus I can get trained. I SAID YES! Will go over pay on monday. Only problem is no bennies.I currently have bennies from the state and VA. It's also seasonal and goes part time in summer 3 days + collecting. Not a problem I was in lawn care/landscaping and can go with my old boss in the summertime to make up hours or look for other oil/gas jobs that are busy in the summer. I know one that is busy then and pays great. At least this is a stepping stone or new home. Will keep MILLIS in play incase it doesnt work out. It should I wanted to be a tank all my life.
