I have been invited to orientation Does not guarantee that your HIRED, lot on here get invited to orientation and then sent home from orientation :biggrin_2558:even after disclosing info beforehand to a recruiter about traffic charges

Never mind if you cannot figure it out on your own , all the best to you.

You posted that you were HIRED on then posted being invited to ORIENTAIOPN what is it were you HIRED or just invited to ORIENTATION ?

My point is if your talking about the same outfit for both instances YOU DO NOT HAVE a job yet and your SPEEDING charge might get you SENT home and you do not seem to have FIGURED that out.

    Shaggy Thanks this.

OP: I had a 96 in a 65- 8 years ago POV braking from 140+ . If i can get hired, you can also with a quality company. not a bottom feeder miserable job.
Keep yourself clean, nothing to worry about. time helps

    FLATBED is correct.

Jagoff recruiters invited me to 2 OTR companies. As i said had a 96 in a 65. they said was fine. Best thing they ever did, never hired me. Still dinged my DAC for BS. went local never regretted it. make 3x what OTR offered and home for 14-16 hours each night and weekends off. free benefits etc.

Pre hire is a joke. so is the lying recruiters. once they pay for anything. then dismiss you your DAC gets dinged. Greyhound sucks.

It's a huge numbers game. don't play it.

    BuckeyeCowboy63,
I am sensing a major Attitude from your post, Not sure if it is a personality issue or what, But may I just suggest that whichever it is that before you to go Orientation that you get it caged and I would even suggest to get it changed, No one will be able to tell you anything or teach you anything and that in this industry creates disaster! I am one who had a major attitude like yourself, Mine came from becoming very successful in a industry very similar to this one, I had done it all and been in that position sometime in my 27 year career there, I ultimately owned my own business doing that and was very very successful at it!, I was the KING KAHOONA! until I got here and no one gave a rats Butt as to what I had done before and what I had been doing or how many employees I had working for me at anytime in my long successful career, or how much money I had made anytime in that industry,THEY FLAT DIDN'T CARE IF I INVENTED THE TRUCK I WAS DRIVING BECAUSE I WAS NEW AND DIDN'T KNOW JACK SQUAT! NOR COULD DRIVE IT AT ALL WHEN I FIRST GOT IN ONE!
So back to you and an adjustment in your thought process, it doesn't matter to anyone here what you have done in your previous life, or how successful you once were, you are starting out at day one step one as green as a evergreen in the forest, You are brand spanking new, no harm intended but if you have read to this point you do care about what I am saying, and that is this simmer the attitude down, it isn't going to get you anywhere and if you show it very much when you get to orientation you are not hired, the things you have told the recruiters, doesn't mean anything as far as you having a job when they run the backgrounds and the MVRs and they start calling the references and the previous employers they are going to make the final decision, whatever the recruiters are telling you take it by a a grain of salt, they get paid a commission by the number of cheeks in the seats! but let me tell you and this is the truth, I have the experience, I have been to more then one Orientation not because I was sent packing from Orientation but because the beginning of my career I jumped around a little, I went where the grass was greener like I did in my previous career, But here that is not recommended, In these Orientations I have been to I have seen more then several guys go get a ride early to the Greyhound Bus station, That is no fun, but when you have and show this attitude like you have something to prove to them, Well my friend you are not going to make it very far in this industry, The recruiters and those that hire you will sense this and start asking themselves the question why is this the forth Orientation this guy is at? And they will ask you, "Have you been to anther Orientation in the last 6 months?" This raises flags that there is something wrong with you, that they don't want to have to figure it out, They will let you stay on the sidelines, So in closing, curb the attitude I don't know where it is from, but it is not going to be good for your new career, We all for the most part are here to help you, But the attitude has to go.

Best Wishes and welcome to the most loved and hated career on the same day Industry!

Luvtotruck....there was no attitude intended....believe me. I picked those two phrases because i didnt know how else to respond. The ticket was over three years ago, and i know how the prehire system and recruiters lyinfg works. I had a mverick recruiter lie to me several times. My point was simple. There is nothing i can do about the past and the ticket. It is what it is. I got it and paid it. Nothing more nothing less. I cant spend my time worrying about a ticket that may disqualify me. I am a diabetic, I figure if I get sent home it might be because of that. I just cant spend my time worrying about something from may of 2010. I did appreicate your words they did help, but believe me there was jo attitude behind it. Just a lack of words in not knowing how to respond.

How do you know they are lying when you don't even have a license?
