I just had a 10 year driving report run off and found that it says my medical card is not currently valid. I had a new card issued back in June. This is now almost September. What are my options, or what actions should I take to correct this problem? I got the driving report because I was applying for a new driving job in my area.

Not sure what you got going there, but as baha stated, report your card to your state dmv. I have an out of state med card and I have to file it with my states dmv. My state can pull my cdl if I dont have a med card on file.

Do yourself a big favor, and go to the office, as opposed to doing things through the mail. Go to the Driver Licensing Center in your local area, and they will help you. Even though you have a medical card, you need to register it with the state. Once you do that, the card's status will show up in your DMV report.
Here in Pennsylvania, they sent us a letter, informing us of the need to register the card. If we failed to register the medical card by a certain deadline, the CDL classification would be removed from out license. Not only would we need to register the Medical card, we would also need to start the CDL process all over again. 23 years of driving would go out the window. I would have to apply for a CDL permit, then take all the knowledge and skills tests all over again.
Do not sit back and wait for them to find you. You need to get off your rear end, and get to the DMV or State Licensing Center right away, if not sooner. You better check if you still have a CDL, or if it was de-classified down to a car license.mje Thanks this. -
Yep, I wish you new guys coming in here would just put the stat you are in over there<<< But exactly like they all have said, go report it to the DMV!!

Jan 30, 2014 is the deadline the FMCSA implemented all state DMV's must keep up with medical cards. Though states were given the option to start the program back in Jan 2012 and many have. Depending on what state you live in you can give your DMV a copy of your medical certificate in person and some states have it setup where you can fax or email them a copy. You have to go to your state's CDL DMV web page and find the self certification link. Tell me the state and I'll find out exactly what you need to do.
With your state not having a copy of your medical certificate your CDL is now invalid and you need to fix this ASAP!
In the near future the FMCSA will have certified doctors setup where they do the reporting to the state's DMVs. Right now it is pawned off on the driver.
Bookmark this link and keep up with the ever changing regulations and then you won't be surprised.

The reason they are doing this is many drivers are failing physicals and playing musical chairs with doctors until they find one that will approve them.mje Thanks this. -
Thanks to everyone that responded. I went today to the CA DMV and just bucked up and spent 2 1/2 hours OFF work to get it resolved. You have to go to dmv and now have your card stamped by them. Won't let that happen again.
And because I have hyper tension, which is a fancy way of saying I have high blood pressure, the doctor said he was going to see if he could still get it through for the 2 years since it was such a low dosage. WRONG!!!
So they issued me a new card for 1 years at no charge since the office there screwed up. And believe it or not, I was only in the seat at the dmv to get called up to the counter for just 10 minutes.CondoCruiser Thanks this.
