I parked in the same location for 3 years and no one else was parking there. Had owners permission. However last year on Thanksgiving another truck tried to park next to me and too out my drivers since front fender and he drove off. So - needless to say it's hard to watch it 24/7. I now park at a storage facility that is gated and I have my own spot. It cost me 99.00 a month but well worth the security and peace of mind. Not to mention it's a tax write off.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I really appreciate it.

Always leave trailer at terminal. Park at home, by a walmart, best buy, home depot, or do as I did, find a truck yard and pay rent. Most of them dont offer security, but parking space only. So never leave valuables in your truck.

I park truck and trailer in a small truck stop near my home about ten miles away. I know the owners, and the lot is mostly used for dropped log trailer and really only parks about 3 OTR trucks a night. I make sure to check on the truck on a daily basis. It gives me an excuse to escape to the motorcycle.
