Yeah, for running team I can't think of a better truck to drive. This truck has a "helluva lotta" space!

Yeah, it's a big upgrade compared to the '98 Century class we came out before coming to the company. I started following this thread and had a feeling you swapped out of this truck given the time frame of your post and my orientation date. Everything is good. We just need to figure out what's wrong with the AUX/USB ports. You know tunes while driving makes a big difference.

Picked up in Forrest City yesterday after I got unloaded in Springdale. First was to pick up a 2 stop to Brooklyn and Edison, but I didn't have the hours to run it, so they switched me to a Groveport OH. Didn't have the hours for it either, but they had me go to Sonora KY and switch with another driver. I had 2 minutes left on my clock when I pulled in. It was definitely a very long day. I even took my 30 minute break rolling down the road. Just went off duty drive and when the time showed back up, pulled over and went back to the drive line. Wouldn't have made it otherwise. My new load is going to Mclane in Fredericksburg in the morning. Shut down at the Whites exit 205 on I81. Had a good dinner and getting ready to get my sleep on. I think I'm just happy to be pulling a box. I've been stuck in the Boars Head loop twice in 2 weeks.

Let me ask everyone this...and I feel like such a rookie, but...how many miles do you drive in a day? I have been told by one person that it is not unusual for them to do over 700. I keep thinking yeah, no traffic, no mountains, etc. My best day was 670 and that was yesterday. No traffic or not much traffic and some mountains and a relatively heavy load. Just curious as to what I could do better. oh, and I usually don't drive past 10.5 hours. I don't like the thought of having to creatively park.

It all depends on the load I'm on. But on average it's 670. I have done as much as 715. With that being said, today was a total waste of a day for me. 307 miles and ready for bed in the NC welcome center on 85. I will be up and rolling at 5am to make my delivery in South Hill at 9am in the morning. I just couldn't get motivated today.

Sitting here at the rest area on I80 near Dover, NJ on my way to Hazelton and thinking to myself "why do I know that truck"? Duh, it was RM's, man I'm turf.

Right now I am averaging about 400 a day. Running a lot of North East to run by the house. I think my best was about 850, was when I got stuck out in KC and had to get back for the wifes surgery. Kept the left door shut and my 10 was 9:59.

Ugh... Arrived at Sabra 5:49am early for an 11:00 am appointment in NY to avoid traffic. 35 miles from Boars head location in Brooklyn. Only to wait until 12:53pm to start loading (just short of the 2hr detention time mind you) and still here as of this posting 2:17pm.

Wouldn't detention pay be calculated from appointment time until you leave?

I'm thinking the same as you are. It's only right to calculate it that way. I sent the info in by transflo and Qualcomm. I called and haven't gotten a chance to speak with anyone in payroll yet.

Detention starts at your 2 hour mark. Open shipping/receiving 2 hours start when you get there. Appt starts your 2 hours.
